Brendan Chan
Brendan Chan (he/him) is a second-year doctoral student at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a Research Fellow at the Leadership & Happiness Laboratory at the Harvard Kennedy School's Center for Public Leadership.
From 2013 to 2022, he held various roles on business and education teams at Google and served in leadership positions for multiple Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion groups across the company. Most recently, he was the Strategy Lead for Code with Google, Google’s body of work focused on providing more equitable access and participation in computer science education for millions of students around the world.
He started his career as a high school math teacher in his hometown of San Antonio, Texas, and his primary interests lie at the intersection of K-12 education, racial equity and inclusion, social impact, innovation, and policy work. He has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from The University of Texas at Austin and lives in Somerville with his partner and dog.
